Are you new to online marketing and want to know how to get started? Are you a seasoned online marketer, but feel that something is holding you back? Well, this article is for you.
I know that Internet marketing can be very complicated, especially to the someone just getting started. There is so much information out there! In this article, I’m going to cut through the clutter and list the components needed to market your business online.
If you have been an online marketer for some time, five of these components will not be new to you.However, when it comes to business success, the sixth element is underestimated and often overlooked.
I will begin by explaining the first five elements:
1. A list – Your first objective is to create a list of prospects that are interested in what you are marketing. Notice I’m talking about marketing or promoting your business. It is crucial that you learn how to market online. Because there are so many different techniques available on the Internet, you should select one to focus on and get very good at it.
2. A website – You need a customizable website with your picture, story, and maybe your video.
3. A sales funnel – This is a means of promoting resources and educational products that will help your prospects solve their business-building issues. Providing solutions to your prospects helps you to build lasting relationships, so they see you as a resource and a leader. We all know that this industry is about building relationships. A sales funnel can help you do so. This funded-proposal strategy allows you to create multiple streams of income.
4. A system – You need a system that will help you market your business and train your new people effectively. This system should allow you to plug your new distributors into it very easily.
5. A primary opportunity – You need the system to present your primary opportunity in a non-threatening manner.
The sixth element, the one that is often underestimated and overlooked, is what I call “self work”.
We need to work on ourselves as hard as we work on our business to be successful.The harder we work on ourselves, the greater the impact we will see on our businesses.
What do I mean by “self work”?
– Self work means maintaining the right way of thinking. Are your limiting thoughts holding you back? Do you have a poverty mentality? You can free your mind of limiting thoughts. “Stinkin Thinkin” can demolish your business.

— Self work also means seeking ways to add value to others. You should learn about new marketing methods. You need to improve your skills, like public speaking, closing, telephone recruiting, etc. You then will want to share what you learn with your team. The more you continue “self work”, the more valuable you will be to your team. Always strive to increase your value to others.

To summarize, you want an online marketing system that:
– Offers a brandable website.
— Helps you offer value to the prospects on your list.
— Passively presents your primary opportunity to your prospects and trains your new distributors.
Once you find an online marketing system that has all these benefits, you need to commit to using it.
