During Ed Dale’s 30-day Challenge in late 2008, Noble Samurai released their new keyword research tool, Market Samurai. The program has since garnered an incredible amount of attention and hype, but few have really reviewed it to see whether it actually warrants its lofty reputation. In this Market Samurai review, I’ll relate my own experience with the product, and talk about a few of its many useful features.
First of all, it should be noted that Market Samurai is far more than a simple keyword research tool. It has a ton of cool features that include the ability to track website rankings, analyze search engine competition, promote your website, and find content. New modules are also being developed that will assist you in managing Google AdWords campaigns, publishing content, and monetizing your website.
Those extra tools are a huge bonus, and will really help you if you take the time to familiarize yourself with their capabilities. However, where Market Samurai truly excels is in the area of keyword research and analysis.
Market Samurai users typically start with a generic niche keyword, then search for phrases of “x” amount of words. This is useful for focusing in on longer keyword groupings. Market Samurai then returns about 200 associated keywords.
While 200 might not seem impressive, the fact is that these are highly targeted keywords with direct association to yours. You can run additional searches to seek out more keywords, but in my experience that is completely unnecessary.
You can even choose to perform additional analysis on your keywords, as every keyword listed provides data on AdWords information, Organic Searches, Commerciality, and Competition Information, which are explained below:

AdWords Value, which is potential market value of the keyword
AdWords Information:
AdWords Advertiser Competition provides the number of Google AdWords advertisers who use each keyword.
Obviously, there is a tremendous amount of information to be gleaned from each keyword, simplifying the keyword selection and targeting processes.
I really liked the SEO Competition tool, and found it to be one of Market Samurai’s more impressive features. With it, I was able to analyze my competition for each keyword, and discover just how easy or difficult ranking any given keyword would be. It saved me a ton of time and much trial and error! Using the SEO Competition tool, I had the ability to discover every important piece of information on the top 10 websites that used a given keyword, including the Domain Age, number of Backlinks, and a host of other on-page data. For me, this module alone was enough to make me happy that I had purchased Market Samurai – everything else was icing on the cake!
Market Samurai is – without a doubt – the standard against which all other keyword research tools must be judged. I have used several similar products, but none have come close to Market Samurai’s capabilities.
